CyB3rCu1ture

Well first off I would have to say cyber culture is a culture that has been made with the advances of technology and the stuff that came along with technology. Pretty much a community based on the internet and gaming and similar interests that are talked about through technology not face to face. As far as my participation in cyber culture I would have to say I’m a part of it with either just sitting on aim or playing video games online. I also like to visit a few of my favorite websites a day like break.com, collegehumor.com and facebook. Where I like to interact with others and comment on videos or just talk to my friends. How it has affected me I would have to say on the positive side I guess. I working online right now and it’s a lot easier than a real job and I don’t really have to deal with anyone. I also like to play games online with my friends because a lot of them are online all the time and even if were at different colleges across the united states we still get together online and play together and just talk. My expectations as far as cyber culture and all the technology I would have to say are great and just keep getting better day by day with the new stuff the companies and people are coming out with.

Thats cool that you can play games online with your friends that are at different schools. It's like you never lost that closeness with them and like your side by side with them as if they were not away at school.

Its good that you keep in touch with your friends using the internet. It also seems like you limit what websites you go to and who you chat with if it is not your friends.

I never knew you could play games online like that with different people. I think thats awesome that you can kinda hang out with friends just not with them next to you. its good that you still actually like to hang out with the friends you have though. Sometime i think people get to wraped up in the whole situation and forget a computer is not an actal "Friend".

It's cool you keep in touch with your friends even though they are spread out. Most of my friends have choosen schools that are far from indiana. You had a good blog!

I use the net for the same reasons as you to keep in touch. I do have people that are on MYSpace that I don't know but the more the marryier..U know? Its cool how technology has evolved and we can keep in touch the way we do. I don't think i know any young adult that uses hand written mail and stamps to keep in touch any more.

That's what's up. I feel you on the whole game thing. I play spades alot on-line and I love chatting with everybody, it makes the game a little bit more interesting and fun! I agree with you totally about the friendship part of cyberculture, especially when you have friends that are states away at different colleges.

you're right. by just sitting here and posting this blog response or just talking on AIM you are being a part of cyber culture. this class is based off of cyber culture. everything we do is online. and it very useful, quicker and more convenient than having to read books or write out papers. although there are many negatives about technology, i like how you mainly pointed out the good stuff about it. it is very useful. and im sure playing those online games are fun when you are meeting other people around the world just to play with you. or even your own friends who are far away, you guys are still having fun together. it's interesting.
