Popular culture has shaped my life in many ways and is all around us in our every day lives. From the news talking about some movie star or something on the internet instead of the tragedies around the world. Popular culture you can say has some what shaped everything in our lives but one thing I can say it really has not shaped my circle of friends. I have either had them since I was very young or met them through sports or just randomly through life. I don’t pick my friends by what clothes they wear, what music they listen to or their favorite actors. I chose them because of their personality and the good times we had together. As far as music goes some of my taste is brought on by popular culture but I’m more of a fan of classic rock and random stuff apposed to what is popular now which is mostly rap and country. My style of clothing is brought on a lot by popular culture and mostly whatever I think looks good. With the times changing as they are popular culture has changed our generation a lot with music, clothes, movies, internet and what’s on TV. And with all this changing from one culture to the next of course are generation is going to be different and shaped by popular culture.

Everyone is shaped by pop culture. It just depends on what type of thing you are into. I'm glad to see that not everything that you do is shaped by it, but people can't help but to be shaped by it.
I agree that the media should be more concerned with issues of importance like war and violence rather than making a big deal out of the stupid things Brittany Spears is doing. I think that its good that you do not judge people by their apperance.
